We’ve never had kedgeree before although always fancied trying it so we used Jamie Oliver’s 15 minute meal recipe. It took about 3 times longer than it should have but that didn’t come as much of a surprise. Not having eaten the dish before we had a fixed idea of what it would be like yet in fact it turned out to be quite different. I thought it was quite strong yet husband said it was bland. Anyway, we’d make it again but with different ingredients and probably not with the beans and greens (think they’re only there to add 2 of your 5 a day – I assumed they’d be faffed with but no, although I quite liked their natural flavour alongside the kedgeree).
