Where’s my khaki?

10.12.12e10.12.12a10.12.12c10.12.12b10.12.12d

Shirt and skirt – local charity shops, tights – Peacocks, boots – Mikaela from Sarenza, necklace – H&M (won)

I wore this for Sunday lunch out at the pub at the weekend. Overdressing seems to be something I tend to end up doing on pretty much every occasion but frankly what’s the fun heading out feeling dowdy? My husband commented that I looked Autumnal which I suppose is as near to a compliment as he is likely to muster. I was hoping to get another wear out of this skirt and when I saw this shirt I knew they’d look good together. The khaki tights blend in rather well and of course the heeled hiker boots seem to go with everything. The necklace provides the very finishing touch of bling and brings the look up to date. I don’t really know why but the blouses I get drawn to in charity shops always seem to be way too big, this one is a 14 and pretty much drowns me but as I generally wear them under another layer or tucked in I can kind of get away with it. I’d prefer a top to be too big over too small.
