At the weekend we headed to the one place that guarantees a peaceful hour; the river. We've been here twice since I last posted pictures of the Fakenham riverside walk but there are just too many photographs to even start to look through, let alone consider editing so I'll have to save those for a rainy day.

On this occasion the sun was bright, river was high and the clouds were fluffily racing through the sky. The ground was firm but with a few sticky places along the path where recent heavy rainfall had yet to fully drain away. There were a few people making their way along the riverbank, mainly with dogs, but it still felt like we had the place pretty much to ourselves.

Whenever we head out for a countryside walk with the camera I am always aiming to be able to capture how the place feels as well as looks, this is something I struggle with. The countryside really bursts with life; there are so many sights that are inspiring when you are there, in the moment but looking back on the pictures the spark of what made it so great is missing. My mission in photography is to improve at capturing how each moment felt.
