A wander through Holkham woodland
Friday, October 24, 2014Way back in early September we took our first ever trip to Holkham. Can you believe we'd never visited before? Some people looked at me in horror that after 6 years of living in Norfolk we'd not visited before.
If you've not been either, the village of Holkham is on the North Norfolk coast and has a generous parking avenue which takes you down to the beach and the walk through the forest alongside it. We took a circular walk through the woodland then returned along the beach which made for a delightful walk. The lazier of visitors seemed to just head for the closest patch of sand and settle there so the walk was quiet even on a busy day.
I hope my photos give you a feel of the place...
More to come from here too...
