Summer day snippet

Tuesday, July 04, 2017

Sunday's sunshine prompted a little stroll by the river and armed with my camera I was keen to capture the latest sights. Thankfully plenty of butterflies, dragonflies and bugs were also out enjoying the rays of yellow stuff so we got along just fine. Here's just the first instalment of summer goodness. The above plant looked unfamiliar so upon a flick through my book I would hazard a guess at yellow corydalis but I remain unconvinced.

 Quite a moment.
I presume the above is a red admiral
Some kind of white - this was the best view I achieved, so inconclusive.

Below: Again, inconclusive diagnosis but best guess is ringlet
Enjoy your day, take care.

  1. Beautiful photos. I can vouch for red admiral, but I'm not sure on the others.

  2. So much to see in the countryside at this time of year, the insect / bug world is so fascinating, the White butterfly looks like a Green - veined white. I love the Banded Demoiselle such a beautiful coloured ,dainty creature. You are certainly showing the beauty of the countryside in your recent blogs . x
