The word 'slog' is one I use to describe the passing of winter. It's a chore, an endurance test, a real slog. Thank goodness it's Friday and February and finally time to chill out. This winter has been a bit of a miserable one for me and I'm more than ready to break free from the shackles of the darkest season. Look at these fluffy little pods; I want to call them pussy willow but they might not be. Here's some more pictures from a recent walk. 













Birds of prey! We've seen many kestrels, a good few buzzards and even a few barn owls lately. I feel so lucky.
