Norfolk countryside in spring photographs
On the days when the sun shines down, the gentle breeze makes the fresh new leaves flutter and send the scent of blossom drifting through the countryside, there is no place I'd rather be. The promise held in a tiny branch or tuft of grass, or babbling brook is beyond compare. Can anywhere else in the world trump an English spring day? Not in my book.

I've been determined to learn more about the countryside which I love so much; looking up wildflowers and trying to memorise the detail. Above, we have lesser celandine which has been in bloom all over the show for the past few weeks. Such a rich and cheerful colour.

Forget-me-nots are so delicate and pretty. I'd love to pop some in our garden so we can enjoy them next year.

Still some trees are yet to open their leaves, but the frosts linger which could be a factor.

Blossoms are lasting a wonderfully long time this year; we've had trees in bloom for weeks now and there's still plenty looking fresh. It raises spirits and sparks enthusiasm in me.
Nowhere else but here.
