Not to be thwarted by the absence of light I am insisting on posting just this solitary picture of my outfit from yesterday's post's walk. All other shots were hopeless except this one where I am almost(!) in focus. Brown seems to be a popular colour this winter and I knew this toffee colour jumper was one I can wear with jeans. Yet lo, this skirt fell out of the wardrobe too, having a neat little matching colour in there too. So I wore them together with my cap and a plait.

Sometimes it's been hard to want the bother of wearing something nice; I admit on more than one occasion I just crawled into already grubby outdoor trousers because the bother of putting together something nice felt too much of an effort. But when I do spruce up a bit there's always a feelgood factor that gives me a lift. The mud however, tries to give me the slip.
