This time it's Jorge coming for the wet weekend. I'm yearning for the light and the warmth of spring. On the cusp of March it feels like the new season is just on the horizon, bringing with it all the possibilities.



 Why is it that blackthorn is in flower on roadsides and gardens yet wherever I walk it's still in bud. Just this solitary one then a frond from someone's hedge.


 In the next few weeks the bleak greys will transform into lush greens.
