Cromer in the heatwave

Seagulls over Cromer

I had such a fabulous weekend (the one before last), did you? Cromer was bathed in glorious sunshine so I took my camera out for a few pictures along the seafront. The crowds were also out in force to make the most of the heatwave; there was a quite a queue for fish and chips then further down the road an even longer queue for ice creams down the road.

The sea was the second calmest I've ever seen it, barely bothering to lap the shore. We took in some of the sea-air for an hour and pretended that it was the height of summer with no cares in the world.

The sunny weather was incredible and lulled me into a false sense of security; I went bare legged in a thin dress which seemed a-ok at the time but after three days at home with all the stuffing knocked out of me I'm thinking maybe it wasn't such a great choice. Can you get your ass properly kicked by a bit of mid-March sunshine? I'm thinking yes *coughs up a lung*.

Cromer plays host to a few of these cute hidden little sunken gardens just behind the clifftop path and I think they were looking the best I've ever seen, rather tidy and sweet. The perfect retreat from the dizzying crowds.
