The Nar Valley way | Walking West Acre to Castle Acre

Much as this does deserve it's own post I can't help feeling a little miffed that the photographs, taken on two separate occasions, do not correlate seamlessly. On one occasion it was beaming sunshine and the other was a grey day threatening to rain the whole time – so much so that I left our proper camera at home and used my phone to snap a few in the low light, typically that day cleared up a treat too so there are a real mish-mash of shots but at least they give you an idea of the route.

After a tip off, we decided to park at Castle Acre (a firm favourite of ours) and walk along the Nar Valley way path to West Acre which made for a shorter stroll than I envisaged unfortunately but next time the answer will definitely be to drop into the charming pub called The Stag for a refreshing beverage or a bite to eat. I didn't snap a picture which I'm kicking myself for, but it did look like a lovely village pub and by all accounts on Tripadvisor sounds pretty good too.

There are a few tea rooms in Castle Acre and a pub too, the village gets busy on good days.

I'd love to find some more nice walks that we can take over the wintery months which of course I'll be sure to share with you.
