Locked away in my heart

The quiet. The still. The solitude. It's mine, it's all mine. I'm claiming each little blade of grass, each tiny petal for my own. Spring is my monopoly; the scent of blossom, cow parsley, freshly cut grass.
I'm banking every moment. The sights, sounds, smells will remain locked away in my heart ready for when the sun hides away and the world freezes over once more.
If I close my eyes I am taken right back to that place where the rich scent of blossom fills the air and the gentle, soothing hum of the buzzing insects is almost hypnotic in it's continuity.

It's a beautiful time of year.
