Spring, pending

Plenty of initial signs of spring; the snowdrops, daffodils, tiny buds on the trees, blossom.... The birds are busy and cheerful. Sunshine! But no leaves. I've picked a few pictures capturing the point just before all the action.

Lately we've been trying to make the best of days out, despite the mud and flooding.

I guess everyone else has been out in the mud too!
