A wander in the woods

Winter woodland in Norfolk
There's something mysterious and intriguing about the forest. On bank holiday Monday, the convenient day off in lieu of new year's day which made a rather nice four day week back to work instead of going  straight in with a five day extraordinaire. I digress. On that Monday we spent an hour or so strolling the sunlit forest paths locally, searching for answers, searching for something.
I found it. The light told me everything I needed to know.

Hold tight, open your eyes. Look at the bigger picture. Breathe, wait. Don't panic, don't worry, don't give up hope. The cold and the dark can feel overwhelming and yet there are chinks of light and goodness.

Oh my goodness, there will be an amazing display of colour once the bushy rhododendrons are in flower. In fact, I MUST make it a resolution to see the rhododendrons in flower this year. No excuses.
