Cuckooflowers and the meadows

cuckooflowers and wildflowers in the meadowOblivious, that's how I would describe my attitude in previous years. Key wildflowers, sights, moments and possibilities have been completely missed which makes me feel tinged with sadness in one way and more motivated to do better in future in the same heartbeat. In the last couple of weeks I saw not one but tens of cuckooflowers which I can say that I've never noticed before.

Meadows boasting delicate blossoms of cuckooflowers (yes I had to look it up).

Everywhere I look the carpet of ground ivy unfurls. The dainty blue flowers belie the ravenous hunger the plant has to reach out further, to take over more land, to infiltrate grasses  and to reign.

All the things I haven't seen just inspire me to hunt them out.
What are you keen to see?
