The vast majority of autumn colour has now subsided but the oak leaves are holding on and stopping the whole landscape from emptying altogether. It was a shame that the heavy cloud made for lacklustre conditions for countryside photography at the weekend but that's life, these are the best I could muster. The peace, quiet and stillness worked their restorative magic on Sunday morning. It's always worth getting out while the chance presents itself.
