A day of wandering around in the fog needs a bit of comfort and room. I wore my most casual shorts which saw me right last summer when most others refused to button up but thankfully now fit without fuss. I like the longer length of these and the turn-ups. A slouchy jumper for luck. Big boots and a backpack. There was a light waterproof coat in my bag just in case because even a brief shower could leave me soggy for hours and with jeff all sunshine I'd be cold et miserable.
I do walk in dresses too you know, but not on this occasion. It was no frills.
