The England team gave it everything this tournament; the heart, spirit, talent and promise shone through and it seeped through into the fans. I felt so happy the last month with so much inspiration taken from our young squad. I'd like to say thank you for the experience and entertainment, it's been an emotional time.
The maturity and strength has been outstanding. Gareth Southgate has cemented his place in our hearts with his new approach to building a team. A standing ovation to such a man for creating an environment of possibility.
Could this be the turning of the tide? A new wave of talent? I'd like to think this a taste of things to come.
But I'd like to say thank you for a hell of a great ride.
