Garden delights

Over the last few years I have come to appreciate the joy of gardens. Discovering wonderful new plants, colours and nifty planting ideas is inspiring and gives nudges in the right direction for your own patch, windowsill or to bank for the future. A space of intrigue, tranquility and beauty.
The first red admiral I captured with my camera this summer. I've seen a few, though far fewer than usual but they whizz away ever so quickly.
Below, these enormous globe artichoke flowers provide a real wow-factor.

Giant frothy heads of hydrangea flowers add a real something.
My astrantia never appeared from the handful of root I planted in hope back in spring.

A rich dark red gladiolus. I haven't seen one like this before. Isn't is lovely?

Ammi and verbena bonariensis go together merrily.

Big juicy rosehips.
May the garden delights continue.
Take care,
Sophie
