Fly agaric | A vibrant toadstool

Halfway through our woodland stroll yesterday I expressed my disappointment at how after spotting the perfect fly agaric toadstool there a few years ago we hadn't found one there since. Not a minute later eagle-eyed C let up a muted whoop at finding not one but a cluster of around five and looking further another handful ten foot away. Would you believe it? I set about snapping away with gleeful abandon. No toadstools were touched or damaged by us, it's how we found them. Varying stages of their short lifespan.

One slice or two?

I think this might be my favourite; the emerging toadstool making it's entrance into the world.
PS Never touch or eat mushrooms.
Take care,
Sophie
