Good morning everyone! It's the last day of November and it feels like it (for a change). The snow is starting to fall in miniature flurries and the roads are gathering a sheen of ice this morning. Brrr! Here are some pictures from the weekend when the sun shone and the rays of warmth made the countryside come alive.

There is little better treat to be found in late November than waking up early to see the world glazed in a crusty white frost. On Saturday we were lucky to capture the garden and allotment looking nothing less than magical. I was that weird neighbour trussed up in a big coat, creeping around with my camera, snapping away and periodically huffing on my frozen fingers before resuming my strange lunges and squats to get a few nice shots. Who says photography can't keep you fit?

Layering is key to staying warm and comfortable over the colder months. Revolutionary, isn't it. Here's my latest take on shaking things up; a shirt under a thin knitted top. For me, shirts are a must for winter but the most irritating thing is that they stay hidden under big jumpers most of the time and don't get seen. This lovely new-to-me Jack Wills shirt is a pleasing red-pink check which will happily go with quite a few of my skirts. Of course I've magically morphed these shots into black and white as they look a little better - but you'll have to take my word for it that my warm red top looked right alongside it.

 Sparkly black cap, a favourite which I like as it fits really well and black goes with everything.
