I've got a wardrobe, occasionally a floordrobe and then there's the pile of half worn clothes I don't know what to do with. My grandparents used to have these funny clothes prop things which they would hang up their clothes on, like a hanger for shirts/tops with an arm for trousers and presumably something for skirts. My parents had a chair on which they drape worn clothes.
Since I've moved out I've just folded piled items on the floor next to the bed which I admit is untidy at best but here's the main problem, I don't intend to put the same ones on the next day which means the pile does tend to grow and grow.
I ought to get a chair but a chair is for sitting in which would then annoy me if clothes are cluttering it up. There is no way I'm putting part worn clothes back in the wardrobe because at a later date I'm going to be really miffed if I take something out and it's not actually fresh.
Often they can spend weeks on the floor. I need to make a better habit of what to do with clothes.

This outfit was compiled of part worn clothes instead of wearing something I chose specifically. I wouldn't particularly choose this jumper and skirt together but wanted to 'use up' some items.
With jumpers they can take a few outings, often the same with a skirt but tops usually only get one outing before a wash so they're not a problem.
So my question is what does everyone else do? Surely you don't wash an entire outfit after a day's wear, or maybe you don't mind putting them back in the wardrobe, a pile on the floor, a full chair, a funny prop or maybe you wear them again the next day. I'm all at sea.

There's been a distinct lack of clarity on the rules of going out. While it's been a longterm passion of mine to walk where others don't stray, there's been a bit of frowning upon taking a journey to somewhere else. Yet I've always been going to these places and I know they will be empty or far quieter than walking from my door. We've noticed people out walking who we've never seen before, unrecognisable dogs and even someone taking up daily cycling. All of a sudden we're all keen to cash in on our daily quota of freedom.









Almost not another soul to be seen except on the final track back to the car, but a good wide berth was still possible. Will we be able to get away from everything again this spring? Who knows.

A few weeks ago after regular scrutiny Chris announced one morning that we had been blessed with frogspawn in our pond. I was elated!

Our pond, which went in last Easter, has played host to a number of frogs over the year and I was pleading that they would choose our pond to be the home of their young in the spring. To be honest I've been fretting that we wouldn't find any frogspawn at all. It's obviously selfish because if the habitat isn't right for the wildlife it's not going to end happily ever after anyway.

The fussing over the spawn is daily and since the above shot was taken about a minute after I was made aware of the new arrival. Since then the tiny black dots have grown, some have tails. It's very exciting.

Did I mention we have a second pond? NO?! Oh well I can hand on heart say I had virtually nothing to do with it but will be haunting it's banks and bringing you more on that as and when news breaks.

Like Kezzie, I hope to blog every day for the time being, especially as each day is essentially the same as any other. The weekend for me is the time we are 'out' and only come home for food or to drop off stuff, so this will be challenging... And alarmingly I'm running out of garden jobs to tend. 
We've finally had a couple of requests from our older friends for items from the supermarket so wish us luck in picking up supplies.

It's only been three days so far but already I'm fretting about the potential absence of our weekend walking. Mustn't dwell on such frivolous thoughts while there's such grievous chaos all around the planet...
The tally of pictures taken last week that I want to share is almost 50 which is most convenient for spreading out over at least a few days.
Today's instalment is the beautiful blossom and tree flowers - some less celebrated than others.

Change is happening fast in hedgerows and verges out in the countryside. On Sunday, armed with my camera we took a trip out to somewhere we both thought of that morning, somewhere deserted and potentially good sighting spot for hares. Naturally, by the time I was ready to go the hares would have long since packed up shop but nevertheless, the spring optimism and sunshine filled me with a little hope.
On our lovely walk away from civilisation I took so many pictures I'll have to break it down into sections. This one is dedicated to new shoots and flowers. Flowers are always by far the easiest way of identifying plants. The leaves alone can be far trickier so many of these will just be guesses. First up speedwell. Then some kind of prickly thistle.

Below, plenty of something shooting amongst the ivy.

Below, red dead nettles. Apparently you can candy the flowers.

Dandelions are about to carpet the ground! This little bee was feasting on this very early flower.
Looks like garlic mustard leaves below.
