With the prospect of a four day weekend my appetite is whet for the taste of  unimaginable freedom. Upon refection with a piece of blank paper and a notion of writing a list of what to do in those sweet 96 hours of emancipation my mind didn't want to focus or concentrate at all. So it's a decidedly empty list so far but that's a good thing as there is no pressure, no restriction, no frog-march through the weekend. It's a time to relax as well as do exactly whatever we fancy. All the good things! Lamb on Sunday is the only fixed point so far and frankly that sounds pretty darn fine.

I hope that you have a wonderful time over the next few days, especially if you are lucky enough to be off work. Or regardless of that, just share a smile with those around you.

Cast your minds back to Good Friday if you will, the only day of the Easter weekend when the sun shone brightly and the skies stayed a deep rich blue from dawn 'til dusk. We spent almost all day outside to make the most of it while it lasted. I couldn't have been happier.

I took my camera out as always and was rewarded with plenty of spring sights to see. I'm convinced we spotted a red kite; the colours looked pretty bright. It could have been a buzzard. It made for a special time watching it soaring and circling through the lens.
