This time of year is just SO DARN CHEERY. The bounty of colour which adorns the countryside at the moment stretches far and wide but to me, it's all about yellow. Somehow, I completely missed taking any pictures of the oil seed rape in flower barring a couple on my phone snapped in haste. However, the buttercups are blooming with gusto and it's a delight to behold.
I wore this Monsoon dress in July last year with a belt but this time I was all about wearing it free and easy. It's a curious piece; a long boxy shift style dress with short sleeves and a little loop detail to the neck (which does make it look a little bit like it's back to front). The material is quite stiff and uncompromising but after a hot iron it lays lovely and flat. The design is a funny one too. Regimented. Black and white with a good bit of yellow too, which naturally led me to pin corresponding colours in my hair.
How do you wear yellow? It's easy. In moderation. Little accents, accessories, a top, flowers in your hair.... Don't be shy. Yellow is possibly the most uplifting colour you can sport, no kidding!
I can't help smiling.
Can't decide whether I can spy a tricep on my arm or a mucky smudge. Let's err on the side of positivity and call it muscle definition.
Say you're smiling plenty these days too?
