Festival of blues

Blue is my favourite colour, did you know that? My wardrobe has a rainbow of shades, prints and patterns within it's overflowing doors. While I can have a few favoured shades and go-to items, the variety and depth of selection is something cherished. On this occasion it was a day for blues; with this bright and light jumper being ideal for spring.
I inadvertently matched my outfit with the beautiful bluebells in the background. Do I get extra fashion blogger points? Do I even count as a fashion blogger (does anyone?!). My enthusiasm for putting together outfits is something fun to share; I aim not to preach about what to wear, only to spread the word that you can and should wear what makes you happy.
How would I describe my style? It's hard to define. Country girl, heritage, simple, sometimes boyish, prairie. Knits, shirts, billowy sleeves, seventies chilled, cheeky to puritan. I don't know, it's whatever it needs to be at any given time.
What I don't enjoy much is dressing for formal occasions, it's too restrictive. Anything else is fun.

I love dressing for weddings or balls when you can really get dressed up. Work outfits are always stressful as I have so few work appropriate clothes these days. I dislike the days when the weather doesn't allow me to wear what I really want. Recently I've wanted to wear dresses and shirt sleeves but it's still too chilly!! Come on sunshine!
ReplyDeleteI'd describe your style as eclectic definitely xx
Today I am loving the practicality of my Fat Face dungarees, and stripey Breton top. But another day will be happy to go formal if the occasion demands it. Go with the flow and have fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm freezing to death in padded shirts and a jacket!
ReplyDeleteYeh, I'm a real advocate for the "Don't care what anyone thinks," school of dressing. I can't be bothered being dictated to! I do like your style of dressing! My favourite colour is turquoise but blue shades are all my favourites next! The jumper is a great shade!! X
ReplyDeleteWell ..... not being a fashionista at all ;-) and a man! I love the expression 'cheeky to puritan' I can't imagine what they is :-) but without doubt it's my phrase of the week and I will be using it again. :-) 😀 Thanks Sophie .... you look FAB by the way :-) Uk has 50% of the worlds bluebells you are right to love them they are superb
ReplyDeleteI love to hear your comments xx
