What happened in 2013
Tuesday, December 31, 20132013 happened to be a rather busy year for me really.
I made rash resolutions, including going teetotal for a year , although I didn’t achieve all of them I had a last try (that failed too). Roxy the dog came and went . I went on holiday with 9 other bloggers which was surreal but great fun!
I went on a weekend away to Hollin Hall Hotel. Took part in a swap. We found Lincoln and welcomed him into our lives. We started dog training and made some good progress.
I Took up running and started competing in local 10k races , started the Running Commentary series, pondered my fitness motivation, ran a 5k road race, ran a few more 10k races, tried to fathom how to keep maintain fitness all year round
We cooked at home regularly and ate out at The Olive Tree, Browns Kitchen (twice), as one of my Christmas presents I went to Pudding Night at Elveden I visited plenty of local sights: Blickling Estate, Felbrigg Hall, Houghton on the Hill, the Broads, the coast , Hingham, Poppy’s Wood, went to Thetford Forest.
Took an interest in beauty blogging, had a bash at baking and again.
The flowers in our garden bloomed beautifully, I vlogged (nobody cared), I ventured to London to see the only band I would go there for: Muse, took a holiday, headed to a family wedding and had a brilliant time at The Household Cavalry Open Day
Did you notice the total blog revamp? It took a while. Photoshop elements and I met, and had a party I started Photo Show & Tell for a while before I accepted that it wasn’t taking off. There was a local Bloggers cocktail party in Norwich , a family friend's wedding in September.
In Autumn I took plenty of walks in the sunshine, I tried to take my camera everywhere endeavoured to make myself cheerful by putting some autumnal touches to our home, found a woodland wonderland, explored a Bronze age site, explored Peterborough…
Had a blogging wobble but perked up again. It turns out I bought quite a few new clothes (oops) but had great fun with putting together outfits all year.
\Here is to a brilliant 2014!
PS. This post took me an eternity to compile and only includes links to around a sixth of this year’s posts.
