Canary geek chic

There was something about this yellow skirt that stood out (it could have been the colour). Sunshine yellow is not a colour I wear often at all and to be honest once I hung this piece in my wardrobe there was a question mark over exactly what to wear it with... Being a Norfolk lass, as I am, my canary roots insisted the yellow and green go hand in hand. It's a bold colour combination.
As an ankle boot fanatic I was super pleased to find this pair of simple black boots in T K Maxx a few months ago. The vast majority of my new footwear comes from said store as they have all sorts of oddments which I can browse through and mull over. Over the years I've picked up plenty of pairs that I could never have found elsewhere of pretty good quality and reasonably priced too. This classic pair of black chelsea style boots are both sturdy and comfortable. Leather boots with a solid, practical chunky heel are a winning combination and this strap and buckle detail adds just enough to give them an identity of their own.
Ever since I bought this green shirt my inner geek was itching to wear it along with this little green jumper. Inner geek had a point, it's a super fun combination; warm, on trend, fun and creative. All boxes ticked, i's dotted and t's crossed.
I took these photographs on such a windy day...75% of the pictures were of my hair blowing everywhere but at least my fitted skirt stayed put.
