I've been on the look out for all the little hints of colour lurking in the undergrowth. This spring I have been fixated on finding and photographing a wild orchid. We were fairly sure we would be able to see a few at some point this season but our chance came sooner than expected at Hoe Rough nature reserve a couple of weeks ago. The delicate purple petals are utterly fascinating, don't you agree?

There were so many flowers to see. I adore the mix of colour in the landscape.
