This weekend was one of many facets; we went out adventuring, ticked off a few jobs at home, prepped for Christmas and worked a while at the allotment. Saturday dawned absolutely freezing cold so as we got up super early our dog walk was a beautiful frosty sunrise which made for a fresh start to the weekend.
We took a ride out to Cley on the north Norfolk coast and there's lots to come about that very soon - you won't want to miss out on that so keep your eyes peeled for that. I came dressed for comfort, practicality, warmth and a good dose of personal style. My favourite colour is blue and on this occasion I didn't stray too far on the colour wheel; blue, dark blue and a greeny-blue. It's the very first outing for this woollen Joules skirt I stumbled across on eBay a few months ago. It's everything I adore; herringbone knit, great heavy material with a silky lining, a flattering cut, POCKETS! My concern is how to wash it, so I'll be careful not to get it grubby. It's an investment piece that will be one I can look forward to wearing year after year, that's the joy of finding something very 'you'. I originally intended to wear a shirt but as I'd forced my way into this snug turtleneck in the dark pre-7am I couldn't bear to take it off again while my neck and shoulders were so toasty.
There really aren't enough jumpers in the world for me, I'll take one of everything please. A comfy knit with a bit of glitter in a sombre shade is a perfect addition to my winter wardrobe, just between you and me I somehow picked up the same in silver too. People underestimate just how warm thermal tights can keep you; nobody else wore a skirt on the beach that afternoon. I was probably more comfortable than they were. Shod in mighty sturdy Magnum boots which never disappoint, the ankle support is second to none.
Lots to tell you about soon!
Sophie
