December sights

I ended up with so many pictures that I really like so this is the first instalment from this little wander we took at the weekend. It's always good to spot identifying things about each season. The heavy dew sheen on the grass wasn't cold enough to freeze or the ground would have been even more slippery underfoot. The sunlight glittering through the trees and hedges proved to be beautiful in it's own way.
This bird flew overhead and I didn't recognise it but sadly it's not sharp enough to diagnose.
A few berries left, I do hope there will be enough for the birds over winter.
I hope you've been getting outside and making the most of the season yourselves, there are highlights to be found everywhere. Just standing on your doorstep with a steaming hot mug of drink can be rewarding.
I fear I'm sounding like a little broken record but... someone allegedly nominated this blog for a UK Blog Award and I would love your vote in the photography category. If you are feeling like humouring me then cast your vote here and let me know so I can say thank you. I know the competition is stiff but nevertheless I'm grateful to be a part of things.
Thank you for dropping by.
Sophie
