Redcoat

Taking advantage of niche weather is something that I'd like to do more often to be honest, though we do our level best at the moment. When the mist didn't seem to lift all day on Saturday I thought it was a great photographic opportunity. Would you believe that not a wisp of mist was caught on film that afternoon.?! The mist vacated the one place we visited with the cameras. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant escape from the indoor preparation for Christmas.
I usually don't include my coats in outfit posts as it would be a rather repetitive winter but on this occasion the red coat is the main basis of the look, with a nice fitted shirt as the base and a cosy jumper on top. These knitted skirts are a winter weather staple along with thermal tights. I really can't find better winter hosiery than the Primark super-cosy fleece lined tights and at £3.50 a pair they're excellent value. Even my ruthless laundering where I often mistakenly bundle them into the tumble dryer with everything else doesn't ruin them. Of course, air drying improves longevity and I do sometimes try.
My favourite Joules bag is never far from circulation. I won't take it out in the rain or on a big trek in the hope I can look after it so it stays looking beautiful, that's the joy of a classic.
Muddy boots. I shan't apologise.
