I really feel like summer has finally arrived; this weekend has been heavenly with soaring temperatures and sunshine (albeit with an intermittent Arctic gale). The countryside landscape is evolving before my very eyes and it's inspiring, motivating and captivating my thoughts. Flowers are everywhere, both in the garden and fields and verges; cow parsley is one of my very favourites for reasons of nostalgia. To me, cow parsley along the verges of country lanes really is summer, the sight of it gently waving in the breeze, the bright white fluffy appearance and the scent just takes me back, to wonderful childhood memories. It's home.
Now that the air is warmer I'm glad it's bare arms and legs time which means all my summer dresses are back on the menu; this tunic from Hazel was one I loved last year and it's a perfect! Elbow length sleeves which are not my usual style typically but this one works for me, completely and utterly.
My necklace is entirely 'me', a beautiful sterling silver dragonfly pendant which I'm in love with, it's so perfect for my preferred styling; the design is so detailed yet strong, I can see myself wearing this an awful lot, especially over summer. The necklace is from Lily Blanche; an independent jewellery brand from Edinburgh who have an amazing ethos which I will summarise as being a classical style of jewellery inspired by their grandmother's collection dating back. The designs are modern with a glamorous vintage twist and I have to say I'm really impressed with the gorgeous lockets and pearls along with the beautiful birds collection being a favourite and this emerald gold locket rather pulling at my heartstrings.
My necklace arrived in this delightful little gift box tied up with a ribbon and it felt like Christmas; just a lovely way to receive a piece of quality jewellery be it as a present from someone special or as a gift to yourself. I have to say I'm so impressed with the quality and range of jewellery sold, go check out Lily Blanche for yourselves and tell me what takes your fancy too.
Thank you to Lily Blanche for sending me this necklace to review, all opinion and content my own.
