The new neutral | Red
Wednesday, October 22, 2014I've never been into neutrals; bright colours and bold patterns dominate my wardrobe or did until I recently decided to buy everything black I could lay my hands on. I'm the first to admit that it's a headache trying to co-ordinate anything which doesn't bother me all that much in truth.
The revelation has been my bright red bag; I was worried before buying that it might be something that wouldn't get used all that often as it's such a strong colour, with red being one of my least worn colours. How wrong could I be?! Red is my new neutral; it goes with everything and feels right. It defies logic to me and yet every time my red bag proves me wrong and looks perfect. Who would have guessed? (Obviously not me).
The dress is one by Sugarhill Boutique from Amazon back in February, it's pretty and a shape I like but the navy colour doesn't do much for me. My faux leather jacket is a great fit and that's the flaw; if it was a size or two bigger I'd be able to wear it longer with jumpers underneath but you take what you can find from charity shops. Charity shop boots, belt and necklace and bag from Aluna J.
Do you use red as a neutral?

I'm no good at coordinating.
ReplyDeleteI love red, especially as a statement. Looking gorgeous as ever xxx
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. Red is a pretty standard part of my wardrobe, I have every clothing item or accessory in red and I just wear them as a matter of course rather than a statement! X

Totally agree that red is awesome when it comes to co-ordination. And if it doesn't co-ordinate it clashes in a good way! Win.
ReplyDeleteI love to hear your comments xx
