An autumn afternoon in the countryside
Monday, October 26, 2015Going out for a walk is undervalued by most people in my opinion. We like to venture out as much as possible, with camera in hand and ankle boots on feet. The wonderful way that your brain can either empty of all the bothersome thoughts leaving you feeling much more relaxed with a sense of clarity or equally can pick over concepts to generate ideas or coming to well considered conclusions is so welcome. Getting a break from the home and work environments is liberating (quite literally of course). I enjoy trying to listen very carefully to absorb every little sound or just to enjoy the quiet.
These photographs are from a fortnight ago (I think) so the trees look a little greener and the blackberries are still abundant. I found a few fungi to admire; some nestled away and some in open sight. I'll leave you with my favourite shots from the afternoon.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots Sophie. It's amazing what a walk in the woods can do for mind and body - and seeing the world change from season to season while out walking is one of the highlights - I adore the shot of the mushroom too! - Tasha
ReplyDeleteNever got a chance to get any blackberries this year, the local foragers whipped them off the bramble bushes in about a day
