Another day in paradise

This summer has been little short of heaven, it really has. Long, bright days and the calm. All the hours between dawn and dusk stretching out ahead... Butterflies, moths, ladybirds, bees, dragonflies... so many little insects out and about, getting on with their busy lives.
Summer flowering heathers, little springs of wild gems. If this is meadow vetch I'll be over the moon at my diagnosis. This and that. Purples peep from 'tween the grasses.
The closest I have got to a wildflower meadow. I yearn for a proper field of beauty.
Let's stay this way for ever.

Those little small skippers one of the very few species to have done well this year
