Little black dressing

Apparently embroidery is back in fashion (baby). I think there's a time and place for everything and this dress is worthy of being worn whenever , wherever. I last wore it in summer when bare arms and legs were the accessory of the hour. These days thermal tights are in order, just to err on the side of caution. I popped a dress underneath to keep toasty (and modesty as it's a tad short on it's own) and wore my grey ankle boots which I tend to wear all the time but as yet, haven't appeared on the blog.
Embroidery to the neck and sleeves with a few bangles and a statement necklace - it belonged to my grandmother.
I just adore the swathes of snowdrops on verges, under trees and lurking here and there. You don't need to make a pilgrimage to Walsingham to see a few - take note all those who fall into that cliche.
An alternative little black dressing up.

Yes, there is embroidery everywhere! I popped into New Look yesterday and there was a stack of it. Your dress is pretty and that is lucky it is spacious enough to accommodate another dress beneath to ensure warmth!
ReplyDeleteWhat or where is Walsingham? I'm sure whoever it is that goes there enjoys the tradition of going there yearly rather than ignoring snowdrops on their doorstep. I enjoy going to Norsey Woods to see the Bluebells but my husband thinks it is silly to want to go there yearly to see them!
A double layer dress is a bit genius! I remember this one from the summer, I love a dress you can wear year round.
ReplyDeleteLet them go to Walsingham, keep the other sites to enjoy for yourself, I would ;)
Pleased in the lovely surroundings, happy in your great dress, and it all shows.
ReplyDeleteI love to hear your comments xx
