Skirt, jumper and brooch – charity shop, blouse – gift, boots – Irregular choice,, necklace – New Look
The skirt was another find from my shopping trip with Hazel, it was a particularly fruitful affair. You know you've bought too much when you have to take your bounty in to the house in two trips. Ooops. So yes, this skirt was one I couldn't leave behind; I have a soft spot in my heart for a bit of tweed. The length is a bit in-between so I'll call it midi for now, although it is hard to see due to the boots. These leg extender thigh high boots are distinctly unorthodox and to be honest I only wore them as my legs weren't presentable enough to be on show. They are that bit cuter just as ankle boots but it feels good to ring the changes once in a while.
Some may say that such an outfit is frumpy but I would disagree. It certainly got me chatted up by guy in a charity shop. The rather friendly eighty something probably eyed up my skirt and kicked off the flirt before realising I was in fact young enough to be his granddaughter, bless him. Not my type, call me fussy but I like a man with the majority of his own teeth.
Upon trawling through my folders of pictures I realised that this gorgeous NYC nail polish was the perfect shade of green to co-ordinate with this jumper. Maybe next time I can be more organised.
