Grateful in April (and beyond)

leaf skeleton
It's easy to take things for granted; possessions, home, lifestyle, people. In the last few years I've made a real effort to notice and appreciate more of my beloved countryside and share it with you. This has made me feel really good. Raising a smile, feeling very happy and lucky about the smallest of things has been so much more rewarding than carrying on in the same heedless manner.
After a bit of ponder, I concluded that I should express more gratitude for things in my life. Saying thank you more often and really taking the time to acknowledge good fortune could well prove to be a more fulfilling way of life.

For starters, I would like to say how much it means to me that you drop by here to take a read of my blog. Over the years I've enjoyed writing hundreds and hundreds of posts, carefully choosing pictures and putting together ideas, expressing thoughts and sharing them with everyone and no-one. The fact that some of you regularly return to catch up on what I've been up to is so touching. All the comments that get left are such fun to read and messages on Twitter are great, thank you for all your encouragement and support and exchanges of ideas.

Fancy sharing some gratitude for what's happening in your life this month? Link me up to your posts if you do!

This picture is one I took a few weeks ago of a leaf skeleton which I find fascinating.
