Layering is key to staying warm and comfortable over the colder months. Revolutionary, isn't it. Here's my latest take on shaking things up; a shirt under a thin knitted top. For me, shirts are a must for winter but the most irritating thing is that they stay hidden under big jumpers most of the time and don't get seen. This lovely new-to-me Jack Wills shirt is a pleasing red-pink check which will happily go with quite a few of my skirts. Of course I've magically morphed these shots into black and white as they look a little better - but you'll have to take my word for it that my warm red top looked right alongside it.

 Sparkly black cap, a favourite which I like as it fits really well and black goes with everything.
