A gem from Joules
Tuesday, January 07, 2014Jacket – Jaeger via charity shop, blouse - Joules*, jeans and boots – charity shop
When I think about how to describe my personal style the word heritage is one that springs to mind. I'm a girl who really embraces her countryside lifestyle in case you hadn't already noticed and rather relishes a bit of tweed. This classic Shirley creme horse blouse is the perfect for wearing with my favourite jacket along with jeans and riding boots. I tend to prefer a roomy fit so sized up and I feel right at home. The blouse is particularly me; gallopy horses print, optional necktie (you know I can't resist a good bow) and lovely light material. The best thing about a good quality blouse is that it stays just as wearable whenever you choose to give it a whirl, I can see myself still reaching for this beauty in ten years time. I've beome such a convert to blouses over the past few years as they are so easy to wear - a whole post coming up on this very soon!
Incidentally these boots were a find from the great charity shopping trip with Hazel last year and I'm mortified they haen't made an appearance until now. Lovely worn in leather beauties for a fiver, what a find.
I styled it up another way just for the fun of it with my heather knotted tank and trusty JC Eriksons to show you the sleeves and the neat little collar. It gives the blouse a different feel and the necklace adds that little something.
I think this should be the year for investing in some good quality classics. How do you feel about classics?
Sophie
Thanks to Joules for sending me this gorgeous blouse to review. All opinions my own

Gorgeous! I love the joules prints, I found a bargain sleepsuit for Athena for next Christmas in the sale last week. I love how you can get understated patterns for adult clothes and wacky for kids. I just wish maternity pay stretched further! Good find on the boots too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous blouse. I love Joules clothing, they always make you look put-together and their countryside/heritage vibe is my favourite style for clothes. That jacket is really beautiful and goes well with the blouse.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely all for investing in higher quality clothes. Not only do they look better on you but they last better as they're made well and you tend to look after them more
That jacket was an amazing charity shop find! It's always good to have a few classics in your wardrobe that you can reach for x
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous blouse, I love it with the bow!

ReplyDeleteThat is one NICE blouse, suits your look so! What material is it? X
ReplyDeleteThose boots were a great find! Have you worn the Monsoon Fusion dress yet - the one they couldn't get off the mannequin?
ReplyDeleteLove this top, it's just the perfect amount of blousey. Would look smashing with a full black skirt too. Or a tweed waistcoat.
Absolutely gorgeous Sophie! Looks so country-chic. Something I'd definitely wear when I'd be home in Devon!
