A kingfisher on the scene
Friday, December 01, 2017
Well that's a claim and a half. We saw a beautiful kingfisher perched on a branch; miraculously it chose to stay there while we snapped away (perhaps it took pity on us as we only usually get a fleeting streak of blue at best).
Above, the scene. Below, the top right third. You can see the kingfisher if you try. Not an award winning picture but a categorical capturing of it's presence. I'm thrilled to have encountered this amazing bird which we have kept our ears pricked and eyes peeled for over the past few years. A memorable moment.
Squirrel hiding.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Take care,
Sophie

Nothing better than hearing the whistle of a Kingfisher followed by the blue flash as it flies by, hopefully it lands close by enabling good views . Again nice photos Sophie, you too have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI just can't see the Kingfisher on my rubbish phone so I'll examine it at home! Lucky you! That's one of my ambitions to see one!
ReplyDeleteAh! so glad you got to see one!
