Lockdown

Tuesday, March 24, 2020

Good morning everyone on the very first day of lockdown. When the news broke last night it was a simultaneous shock yet confirmation of what we saw coming but nevertheless it's going to take a lot of adjusting to. Kezzie wrote a great post yesterday on this.

As an 'outdoorsy' person this is something I will have to adapt to; not just dropping everything and heading out. The finer points of the rules are a little hazy in terms of where I can go, for how long and doing what but we'll see. I'm grateful for our garden which will be a refuge for me and I can carry on growing in the greenhouse.

There's so much I can be getting on with both indoors and out.

Of course, things will take a lot of adapting to, but best make the most out of what we have. I firmly believe that through all of our concerted efforts to stay away from each other and to support one another though this challenging time it's going to make immesurable difference.

I want to keep posting and while I still have images from 'out' and there will be plenty to talk about from home and the garden, we'll see how the content goes!!

Take care,
Sophie

  1. You're absolutely right that we can all do our bit, and the collective efforts will make a difference. The rules are a bit sketchy but it must be impossible to foresee every angle and answer all questions when things are happening at such speed.
    Thank goodness for gardens!

  2. We can definitely all do our bit. There are SOOO many stupid youths and young people out there who aren't getting it now! Seriously stupid people. We've not managed to do a massive stock on food and yet we are managing- why can't they!? Soooo grateful for my garden!
