Wednesday, June 11, 2014Are you familiar with Jarrold? The chances are you're not unless you're from Norfolk. Fear not, I'm about to tell you all you need to know.
Good grief, if you like a good browse at all the latest ranges from the spectrum of beauty brands out there then the newly remodelled ground floor beauty hall should be your number one destination in Norwich. The range of products is vast and all laid out in an open way. MAC, Chanel, Lancôme, Clarins, Benefit, Clinique, YSL... in fact far too many to mention. Don't forget there is a men's grooming section too.

The Retreat and in-store beauty and pamper services
Even if you're a Jarrold's regular you probably haven't heard of The Retreat, it has to be the best kept secret in Norwich! From the beauty hall you descend into the level below where all is calm and quiet, completely sound-proofed from the hubbub of the shopping going on above. You can enjoy a whole range of services from massages, reflexology, facials, hot stone sessions, spray tans as well as in store beauty and pampering, makeovers, nails, eyebrow threading and more. Imagine popping down for a massage after a hectic morning in the city or booking your appointment and breezing in for some pamper time.

Well, there is just about everything going on here so don't be tricked into thinking “oh there wont be anything here for me”. There really is a vast array of brands from very pocket friendly basics to top dollar splurges and everything in between. It can be quite daunting trying to navigate your way round a large clothing department so you can call upon the services of a personal shopper, oh yes. With more brands than you can shake a stick at there will certainly a great choice of whatever you're looking for... Ted Baker, Orla Kiely, L K Bennett, Joules, Barbour, Vero Moda, White stuff, Lulu Guinness but to name a few. The department was so tidy and spacious, quite refreshing for women's clothes shopping it has to be said.
The smellsemanatingg from the Jo Malone section were heavenly. With the focus of this British brand being very much on the beautiful presentation of their bespoke scents the whole area was immaculate and alluring. Whether buying for yourself or a special someone else you will be guaranteed to take home a truly beautiful gift. Ever had an arm massage? If you've not already tried it then you're missing out.

A whole stationery shop is found a couple of doors down. A whole shop. I'll leave that thought with you.
