On the feeder

Sunday, April 26, 2020

It was when I took my camera to the pond in an attempt to photograph the frogspawn that while I was busy trying to focus in on the water's surface I heard some faint sounds coming from the bird feeder. Not eight feet away, was a lovely little bluetit pecking away on the fat balls. Having been half hidden by the various large grasses on the pond's edge I had managed to stay undetected by my new feathered friend who carried on feeding as I turned my camera to it's new target.
What a cheerful little birdie, checking around for signs of trouble, myself not included.

Superseded by a lady blackbird, I continued to snap away from my area of cover.

Take care,
Sophie

  1. I've seen many wonderful photos of blue tits all over my instagram. They at least are staying busy and cheerful

  2. What lovely photos! I've been filling my bird feeder with increasing regularity, there are just so many birds about - which is lovely of course.

  4. The birds shun our feeder but we have a regular Magpie (Chris has named her Maggie and calls excitedly every time he sees her.), Robin, Blackbird, Coal tit and sparrows!
